Quinn Schmidt is a passionate lighting designer whose journey in the field began in high school, where she discovered her love for lighting design through various dance productions and theatre performances. This early exposure ignited her ambition to pursue a professional career in the arts.
Over the years, Quinn has built an impressive portfolio that includes work on concerts, indoor and outdoor installations, and lighting maintenance and repairs. She has designed for Cuyahoga Falls High School, contributing to numerous dance studios, competitions, and productions, such as "Clue!," "Cinderella," and the student-hosted One Acts Festival.
Quinn's professional experience expanded at Cedar Point, where she served as a float operator for the park's parade and as a camera operator for key events, including the CP Pep Rally, "Opening Scarymonies," and "The Shrieks."
At Dollywood, she has designed lighting for a wide array of independent artists, including Todd Tightman, Jeff and Sheri Easter, The Martins, and The Hoppers, among others. Quinn has also played a pivotal role in the creation of new shows like "Trio Again ft. Three Times a Lady," "The Hall Sisters," and the "Perdonis Dog Show."
In addition to her design work, Quinn has excelled as an outdoor lighting technician, where she has constructed and repaired lighting systems for various outdoor attractions. Her hands-on experience includes working at heights, utilizing lifts, trusses, and catwalks to install fixtures.
When she is not involved in live productions, Quinn dedicates her time to repairing lighting fixtures, rigging venues for future shows, and building sets, continually honing her craft and contributing to the vibrant world of lighting design.
